Moving People, Moving Forward
Every day, 120,000 Connecticut commuters use services provided by the Connecticut Department of Transportation's Bureau of Public Transportation. They ride with us on 283 scheduled weekday trains, and over 1,000 buses and vans.

They've got places to go, appointments to keep. And we help make it happen. Safely, comfortably and reliably.

The core mission and most important product of the Bureau of Public Transportation is the day-to-day delivery of bus, rail, paratransit and other services to residents and workers in the state of Connecticut. We are committed to the continuous improvement of the overall efficiency and attractiveness of Connecticut's various public transit services while providing a significant stimulus to the state's economic development.
